ABSTRACT
Prestige is a reputation
or influence arising from success, achievement, rank, or other favorable
attributes, it also as individual social view. if we are talking about prestige
in real life, especially what we can see on the public vehicle we will think
about lack of an indecent. But in other hand, if we viewed from different
perspective, there is a good message. But just a few people can understand the
massage.
Not all of people can
catch the good massage. So we need to change some complicated or bad words
using familiar words. That didn’t make
any miss communication between the truck owner r driver and people who read the
words. In other hand it didn’t make misunderstanding when children read the
words, because their knowledge maybe can’t catch the message.
PRESTIGE
As we
know, currently we are familiar with pick up service, They serve all picking
service like load a brick, sand, properties, and building equipment. Pick up
service are divided in two, light load and heavy load. When we use heavy load
actually we will using Truck to load the material. And when we using truck to
load our material, we can see most of them are painted Truck I mean there are a
words in back of box in the truck. And
there are many kinds of words painted.
In this phenomenon, the
painted words in the truck describe where the driver live, an environment what
like the truck painted.
Example :
1.
Truck with two beauty girls. The truck owner want t show what differences
between good looking girl and good personality girl. It also express that the
driver like to gather with nigh girl or imagery relationship between vehicle owner
and girl.
2.
Truck painted with words “tutupen botolmu” it
express that the driver like to get drunk than gather with night girls.
3.
Truck written using words “IJEH PENAK JAMANKU”
express that the driver feeling and statement about the country condition .
Explanation :
1.
Truck painted with beauty girls, describe what
the driver like, they are like to gather with other girl in Indonesia”jajan”
because in their way while driving need someone to accompany for his job
(driving the truck) so the driver need a night girl. Or in other reason, the
driver still free and still finding a beauty girl to be his wife or in
Indonesian “sedang mencari wanita idaman” because as we know, men is finding,
girl is waiting. So that can be the reason to paint their truck with sexy
beautiful girl in their lovely truck for living.
2.
Truck with words “tutupen botolmu” ,described the
driver habit. “tutupen botolmu” mean the driver like to get drunk, and want to
say to the reader “ don’t even try alcohol ” if the reader is don’t even try
alcohol. But if the reader is guzzler or heavy drunker, the driver want to say
“ stop drinking”.
3.
Truck with words “IJEH PENAK JAMANKU”, express
the driver feelings in condition of country related to political view and law. Or
the driver shows his loyalty to the older leadership.
In
addition of those example, there is many
kinds of phenomenal truck with unique words painted. Other example like “Jarang
pulang” its mean that the driver mostly spend their life on the road with his
truck. And other example, Suharto picture wih “ piye kabare ? iseh penak
jamanku to ?” but this picture not only on the truck, it also painted in back
window of car, the bus, and also on public place. This example express what the
owner of the vehicle feels after the government change or make a new
regulation, and Suharto step down from their position as a president.
On other hand, people
who pain or write their vehicle with the picture or unique words they have
their own reason.

Trends or contemporary.
3.
Prestige as social recognition for the position,
or community.
4.
Prestige as the social role of the particular
position.
5.
Prestige as a price difference between the
leaders themselves and the people in traditional societies.
But if the art is already widely used, they will
change their truck paint. With changing their truck paint, they using a new art
with a news, or trending problem, trending song, or anything. They only paint
what is currently trending without thinking about artistic value, magnificence,
and massage from the art. So we need to change words art in the truck by using
good words. So all of people can understand clearly what is the massage from
the words that painted in the vehicle.
